If you’re interested in more than one product, you don’t need to click multiple times; just list them in your email message to receive price quotes and other information about them. Most of our products are priced “too low to advertise,” and their sales may be restricted geographically, so to avoid trouble with the manufacturers, we have to do it this way.
We try to find the best ways of shipping the various products we sell. Some software products can be downloaded electronically, which avoids shipping costs altogether. For those products we will send an unlocking code by email. For relatively low-cost items, we generally use the US Post Office, which offers great rates which we pass along to our customers. Other products require courier or freight shipment. Send us your shipping address with postal code if you need a shipping quote.
We ship some of our products around the world. We use a shipping service which gets great rates from the major couriers, so if you’ve been discouraged by high shipping costs that can equal or exceed the value of the item being shipped, ask us for a quote—you may be pleasantly surprised.
There may be duty and taxes assessed by your government. These amounts, of course, vary depending on location, and often, it seems, the whims of Customs officials. We can’t estimate these charges, and certainly are not responsible for paying them. Investigate before ordering to make sure that these fees are affordable and that you’ll be able to receive the shipment.
Customers of certain countries will sometimes need to pay high legalization fees to get the shipping documents through their countries’ embassies or consulates: These countries include Argentina, Bahrain, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Guatemala, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Nicaragua, Oman, Panama, Paraguay, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. Often, our customers in these countries know how to get their shipments through while minimizing these costs, and we’ll try to help if we can, but we won’t falsify any documents—please don’t ask us to do that.
For shipments within California, we must collect California State Sales Tax, currently at 7.50%, unless satisfactory proof of exemption is provided. Many of California’s cities, counties, towns, and communities also have special taxing jurisdictions (districts), referred to as district taxes, which impose a transactions (sales) and use tax in addition to the standard statewide rate of 7.50%. These taxes are calculated based on your address, so they will vary somewhat from customer to customer.
To receive any special educational prices, you must be a current student, faculty member, or staff member of an accredited U.S. academic institution (grade school, high school, technical school, college or university). These discounts vary according to the policies of each individual manufacturer, so you may be eligible for some and not others, depending on your status and the particular product being ordered.

Acceptable forms of academic ID include one of the following: a copy of a dated student or faculty ID card, dated current class schedule, a letter from the school on school letterhead, or a recent faculty or staff pay stub. Please email a scanned copy of the foregoing, in jpg, pdf, png or gif format, to us and await our confirmation prior to ordering. Please note that emailing your ID number is not sufficient.
